4: Visual Interface
The opening
MonoSter Screen (see below). MonoSter opens an
Explorer window as well as it's own window. You may
drag-and-drop WAV files from Explorer to MonoSter. You
need only drag one of the two files into MonoSter and it
will find the other and place it in the correct
column. In MonoSter 3.0 you can play any highlighted
file on the list. You can also record the list of
files to an audio CD if you have a CD-R recorder.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The user has
dragged and dropped seven files to the MonoSter window for
processing (see below). Note that three files already
have stereo files and will not be re-processed. To
re-process a stereo file, uncheck the 'No Proc When Stereo
Exists' option.
To begin the
processing the mono files to convert them to stereo
click on Start/Stop and then click Start.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MonoSter has
completed four of the dropped files (see below). No
processing was done where stereo files were already present.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are seven
options available with MonoSter (see below). They are
found as check boxes in Processing/Options. MonoSter
is capable of processing two totally different Monaural
files into a single stereo file that can be recorded on a
CD. The two independent audio files are not
necessarily the same length and are intended to be played
separately (by for example turning the balance control
either full left or full right). When the Unequal File
Length box is checked, MonoSter will extend the shorter of
the files with 0's to the length of the longer file and
create a stereo format file. In this way two separate
independent wav files can be stored in one stereo track.
In order to
suppress a final pop made when bouncing in some audio
programs, MonoSter can zero the last 2000 samples of the
input files if the appropriate option box is checked
(the program default is that this option is checked).
